Product Details

The EverEdge Cor-Ten range makes a feature of garden edging. Cor-Ten is a type of steel which is designed to weather naturally but not break down like regular steel. A layer of rust forms over the steel and protects the metal underneath from weathering. The lengths start out a dull silver colour and take 5 weeks to form the rust finish.

FAQ
How can EverEdge Garden Edging be bent? EverEdge garden edging offers remarkable flexibility, allowing it to easily conform to various curves and angles. To create a curve, you can either bend the section by hand or wrap it around a form or tire. When aiming for an angle, begin by marking a line at the desired bending point, then utilize a sharp right angle, such as another EverEdge piece, timber, the edge of a table, a vice, or a workbench, to form the angle.
What depth should I select for my Garden Edging?
EverEdge garden edging is available in three depths: 75mm, 100mm, and 125mm. The spike lengths are 95mm or 100mm, depending on the length of the EverEdge. We recommend burying the EverEdge until the top of the spike is level with the edging's face, which amounts to a 15mm depth. If your desired edge size is different from the available options, such as 50mm, you can adjust by burying the 75mm EverEdge deeper until you achieve the desired depth.
Is it possible to cut EverEdge Garden Edging?
Cutting EverEdge is a straightforward process and can be done using either a grinder or a hacksaw. To eliminate any excess material, it is best to overlap it behind the starting point if feasible. Alternatively, if you are not returning to the starting point, create a 90° bend and remove the excess along a wall, bank, or flower bed. This method will also provide additional strength at the end of the edging run.
What should be the installation depth for EverEdge?
The top of the EverEdge should never protrude above the lawn if you plan to mow over the edge. It is essential to ensure that the edging's top is level with the turf, just below the grass's cutting height. This information is indicated in the installation guide provided when purchasing EverEdge.
How long will EverEdge Garden Edging last?
EverEdge garden edging is constructed from galvanized mild steel, featuring a rust-resistant powder coated finish. Once installed, EverEdge requires no maintenance and can endure for generations.
What does Cor-Ten Garden Edging look like upon arrival?
Upon delivery, Cor-Ten garden edging will not exhibit the rusty patina it develops over time. Instead, it will appear as dull blue steel. Depending on the conditions, it typically takes between 3-6 months for Cor-Ten to develop a full rusty appearance, but this transformation can continue over a 12-month period.
Can EverEdge Garden Edging be installed above ground level?
As a general guideline, it is recommended to install EverEdge so that the top of the edging is level with the turf, not above it. However, in certain installations, it may be desirable to have the edging visibly displayed. It's important to note that Cor-Ten and Galvanised (unpainted) edging can have sharp edges, so if the edging will be installed above ground level, these finishes are not recommended for households with dogs or small children.
How should I install EverEdge Garden Edging in soft or clay ground?
In very soft or clay soil, simply stepping on the edge or the weight of a lawnmower can cause the edging to sink into the ground. To prevent this, you can place a piece of broken flat tile or brick under each joint or any location along the edging where extra support is needed. Additionally, utilizing the Pin & Sleeve system can help anchor and stabilize the edging in such conditions.
